The images in this project were achieved by photographing illuminated glass negatives and then digitally reversing the images from negatives to positives. All of the glass negatives, to my knowledge were made by my grandfather Joseph M. Burns from the late 1800’s until around 1911. Many of these images were taken of Burns’ family and friends visiting the Trans-Mississippi Exposition that took place in Omaha in 1898 and the following year.
